					<description>Betty,

I ordered and received a copy of the Burstein book, and have read about half of it so far. I am so glad you're doing this, as it's difficult for me to participate in the study group as much as I was able to before.

I loved Burstein's chapter! It was fun to read as well as being thought-provoking. I really resonated with his comments about critics of The Da Vinci Code missing the point. That separating fact from fiction is just as big a problem in the canonical texts. I laughed out loud. Other things he went on to say, including the fact that The Da Vinci Code brought Mary Magdalene into popular awareness much more so than had several decades of scholarly research, are what I've been saying for several years.

Again, thank you for giving me, and others, an opportunity to participate in the study group. I hope those who are able to be with you in person will post comments as well.

Peace be with you all,
